During the mission, Reese was assigned briefly to command of Deep Space Nine operations center . Unbeknownst to him,  Eddington was absconding with replicators and went AWOL to join Maquis.  Reese was investigated for Maquis activity and cleared of all charges.  Underwent tactical officer's training that year.
In 2373, transferred to U.S.S. Bradbury as tactical officer.  Served with distinction.
